The middle three I think are especially poignant, because I think when images of destruction, violence, and death are seen in black and white, there’s a sort of unreality about them…a tendency to see them as history, the stuff of textbooks, and not as real things that really happened.

Even though all these pictures are special, the one of Anne Frank, the one of the sailor kissing the nurse, and then one of the Hindenburg (I’ve never seen that picture of it, so I’m assuming that’s what it is…) really stood out to me. Those pivotal points really stand out more when in color ((atleast to me).
